Lizzie – The Cookie Tin Box Lives On!


“Lizzie” was an experiment – to build a guitar using a cookie tin box. The guitar has a banjo like sound which is quite pleasant.

  • 3 string cigar box guitar, acoustic electric
  • Cookie tin box
  • scarf joint headstock; cherry neck, side fret dots (silver); C style contour
  • 620 mm scale length (24.4 inches)
  • Nut (polystyrene); floating bridge (bone – not glued onto the guitar)
  • Piezo electric pickup with chrome volume control knob; chrome jack
  • Open silver tuners
  • Custom designed aluminum tailpiece
  • Three string – GDG Open Tuning (strings are .044w, .034w, .026w)
  • Detailed with: brass guitar strap buttons
